Oral iron spray supplement for children
This iron spray supplement for children supports the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, and aids in oxygen transport throughout the body. A child suffering from anemia or iron deficiency may be physically inactive, irritable, and pale, with a poor appetite. Using an iron supplement can provide extra energy while supporting the child’s development and immune system function. Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell formation, and Vitamin B6 helps convert iron into hemoglobin. Bodies that do not naturally absorb iron well benefit most from bioactive EDTA iron supplements, which are absorbed 2–3 times more effectively than iron from conventional sources.

The good taste makes things much easier. I am very satisfied.
This suits my child much better than previous products. Easy to use.
They taste good to children and are fun to take. With my three-year-old, I sometimes even have to argue that there will be no more today because spraying it independently is so interesting. My eldest, who is eight, is less keen, but the vitamin flavours are mild and there is nothing to swallow. They are easy to use and the children can manage on their own.
I like how it is used; it is especially convenient to give to children.
Unlike tablets and capsules, vitamins from a spray are absorbed through the oral mucosa. This allows the vitamin to enter the bloodstream directly, making the process faster and more effective.
View the studyVitamins in spray form are absorbed through the oral mucosa, so none of the vitamin goes to waste. About 25–30% of the vitamin in tablets is absorbed, compared with as much as 75% from a spray, making absorption up to 2.6 times more effective.
View the studySpraying vitamins is much more convenient than swallowing them. After trying sprays, as many as 64% of people prefer them to conventional tablets and capsules.

Iron deficiency anaemia is the most common haematological disease in children, with a prevalence of 20.1% among children aged 0–4 in developed countries. The study finds that oral supplementation is recommended for children with iron deficiency.
View the studyThe use of bioactive iron EDTA was studied as an alternative to conventional intravenous iron gluconate. It was found that oral intake of bioactive iron increased haemoglobin levels significantly more than conventional intravenous iron gluconate.
View the studyVitamin B12 deficiency anaemia, also known as cobalamin deficiency, is a condition that develops when the body cannot produce enough healthy red blood cells because it lacks vitamin B12. The body needs vitamin B12 to form healthy red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
View the studyTiredness, paleness, difficulty concentrating or weakness may indicate iron deficiency. An accurate assessment requires a blood test and, if necessary, a doctor’s advice.
Choose an age-appropriate immunity product for a child and always follow the age restrictions and dosage instructions on the packaging. NorVita offers Immunity for Children spray, which contains zinc and black elderberry extract and is suitable from the age of three. Depending on the child’s needs, several other NorVita products may also be suitable, such as vitamin D3 for children, Iron for Children or other products whose age range and dosage are appropriate. If a child is often ill, very tired or has persistent symptoms, consult a family doctor or pharmacist before choosing a food supplement.
Coffee, tea and calcium-rich foods, for example, may reduce iron absorption when consumed at the same time as iron. Vitamin C may support iron absorption.
Iron helps reduce tiredness and fatigue and supports normal energy metabolism when the product contains a sufficient amount of iron.
Iron spray is taken according to the instructions on the packaging. Avoid taking iron at the same time as coffee, tea or calcium-rich foods.
When choosing vitamins for children, consider the child’s age and needs as well as the dosage instructions on the packaging. The NorVita range includes a Children’s Set that combines vitamin D3, Iron for Children and Immunity for Children spray. Vitamin D contributes to the normal growth and development of children’s bones and to the normal functioning of the immune system. Iron contributes to normal cognitive development and helps reduce tiredness, while zinc supports normal immune function. Several other NorVita products may also be suitable for children, but always observe the recommended minimum age and dosage. If a child is often tired or pale, falls ill frequently or is a very selective eater, consult a family doctor or pharmacist before choosing a food supplement.
Follow the instructions on the packaging when using a vitamin spray: shake if necessary, spray into the mouth and do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Whether a product is suitable for vegans depends on the specific product and its ingredients. If a product is vegan, this is clearly indicated both on the product and in the list of ingredients.
Several food supplements may only be used together if their ingredients and doses do not overlap excessively. When using products with the same active ingredient together, check the total amounts.
It depends on the vitamin and the product. Fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin D are often best taken with food; for minerals, follow the instructions for the specific product.
Vitamin sprays and vitamin gels differ mainly in how they are administered. A vitamin spray is sprayed into the mouth and is well suited for smaller amounts and quick daily use. A vitamin gel is an oral gel suitable for products where the composition, dosage or combination of several active ingredients is more convenient in gel form. Both forms are easy alternatives to tablets, and the choice depends on the specific product, its ingredients and the user’s preference.
